Enrolling an iPad or iPhone Using Open Enrollment with Jamf Now

Managing devices in your organization becomes effortless with Jamf Now’s Open Enrollment feature that allows for the management of personally owned devices. This method allows end-users to enroll their iPads and iPhones without the need for IT to manually configure each device. This guide will walk you through the necessary steps to enable Open Enrollment and enroll your device effectively. 

 

 

Enabling Open Enrollment in Jamf Now: 

Before you can enroll your device, you need to enable Open Enrollment in your Jamf Now account. Follow these steps:
 
  • Log into Jamf Now:  
    • Access your Jamf Now account. 
  • Navigate to Open Enrollment:  
    • Click on “Open Enrollment” in the sidebar. 
  • Enable Open Enrollment:  
    • Check the box that says “Enable Open Enrollment.” 
  • Set Up Security:  
    • Enter a four-digit access code to secure your Open Enrollment link. 
  • Specify Duration:  
    • Decide how long you want the Open Enrollment link to remain active by specifying a duration.

  • Open Safari:

  • Download Configuration Profile:

    • Trust the profile when prompted to complete installation.

Verify Enrollment: 

  • Confirm that the device appears under the Devices tab in Jamf Now. 
  • Check that the assigned Blueprint settings (e.g., Wi-Fi, apps, and restrictions) are applied successfully.
