Windows update is showing on software center but can not download

Issue Reported:

Windows update patches catalog is showing in software center but unable to download.

Solutions:

Step 1: Fixed the problem by enabling “Allow clients to connect anonymously on the site in the ConfigMgr management console: Administration -> Distribution Points.

Step 2: Enabling Windows Authentication in IIS on the distribution points that are being affected.

Open IIS Manager and navigate to the level you want to manage.

In Features View, double-click Authentication.

On the Authentication page, select Windows Authentication.

In the Actions pane, click Enable to use Windows authentication.
