After Upgrade SQL 2016 Report service error failed to load expression host assembly

I will be share experience that once we completed upgrade Successful and by hearing sound my service is not working. I will be sharing experience that SQL server was upgrade 2014 SP2 To 2016 and Upgrade completed once report to office found that SQL report service stop responding.

Issue reported:

While access URL getting error failed to load expression host assembly

Error; Failed to load expression host assembly. Details: Could not load file or assembly ‘SrsResources, Culture=neutral’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (rsErrorLoadingExprHostAssembly)

While seeing cm console we have seen without report url

Solutions:

This error report normally after upgrade below are the key possibility

Point 1: Connection got broken between cm SERVER to report server

Point 2: If any access has been revoked from existing service

In my case I found that remove report service and reconfigure report service work fine.

Happy learnings!!!
