Server 2016 WSUS functions is not working on primary site servers

In today post I will be sharing very unique problem and how to resolve. In day to day while we left office by completing work with all servers are working conditions and next day when we are reporting that our server has patched or rebooted with plan change. By seeing server health found that some of the component stop responding. I will be sharing one stop solutions that similar issue reported that SERVER 2016 Configure with WSUS role on one of the child primary site server. The day we reach office WSUS is stop responding. WSUS pool service is keep getting stop automatically and WSUS functionality is getting stop.

Issue Reported :

Server 2016 WSUS functions is not working on primary site servers.

By seeing issue I have perform below task to reach out till solutions.

Step 1: As pool service is keep getting stop so compare  web.config file with working and non-working servers. Which are available on below path. Found everything looks good.

Step 2: we have tried to reconfigure wsus but it work one time and again stop responding.  We have open logs seen below message.

Step 3: By seeing above error. We have check IIS Advance setting found there was .NET CLR Version set to True and it was not allowing to configure or make wsus in working condition we have change to False (enable 32-bit Applications ) Wsus start working as normal.

After doing above changes on IIS WSUS start working as normal.

Happy Learning.!!!
