Issue reported:  We have physical SQL box and while moved DB to virtual Box after moving getting below error: 

> *** Failed to connect to the SQL Server, connection type: SMS ACCESS.

> INFO: SQL Connection failed. Connection: SMS ACCESS, Type: Secure

> ERROR: SQL Connection failed. Connection: SMS ACCESS, Type: Secure

> ERROR: Failed to get SQL Server connection.

Solution

Step 1: Validate configmgrsetup.log  and found this error: “ERROR: Failed to find file: D:\SCCM\SCCM 2012 R2 Preq Files\msxml6_x64.msi”

Step 2: Copied the msxml6_x64.msi file to SCCM 2012 R2 Preq Files folder and certificate got auto created and the task got completed smoothly.
