Issue Reported: WSUS the DSS Authentication Web Service is not working.

Error on events.

Description:

The DSS Authentication Web Service is not working.

Event ID receiving 13042, 12002, 12012, 12032, 12022, 12042, and 12052. WSUS was installed The WSUS Administration site was set up on 8350.

The installed WSUS build has the valid and supported WSUS Administration DLL assembly version (3.1.6001.1) SMS_WSUS_CONTROL_MANAGER 2/21/2017 2:32:11 AM 8144 (0x1FD0)

System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found. at Microsoft.UpdateServices.Administration.AdminProxy.CreateUpdateServer

Solutions:

Step 1: Open Command Mode and change default directory to C:\Program Files\Update Services\Tools.

Step 2: Type this command wsusutil.exe usecustomwebsite true

After executing WSUS DSS Authentication Web Service is working start as normal.

Note: Make sure server snapshot backup is there for our safety
